Is your food suitable for dogs with kidney disease?Updated a month ago

Kidney (renal) disease is a condition that typically requires a carefully managed, veterinary-guided diet. Nutritional needs can vary significantly depending on the stage and severity of the condition.

Our recipes are made with approximately 90% meat, organs, and bone, providing high-quality, highly digestible animal protein with very low carbohydrates. However, because kidney disease often involves specific requirements around protein levels, phosphorus management, and hydration, suitability really depends on your dog’s individual case.

Our moisture content sits at approximately 12-19%, which is higher than kibble but lower than raw diets (which are typically 60–70% moisture). If feeding an air-dried diet, ensuring adequate water intake would be important.

For this reason, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian before making any dietary changes. They can review our full nutritional analysis and determine whether our recipes align with your dog’s specific needs.

If you’d like a copy of our nutritional breakdown to share with your vet, we’re happy to provide it.
